Privacy Policy

Last updated 4 October 2026

Property Valuations Australia is a trading name of Valuation Group Pty Ltd (ABN 48 702 469 252), referred to here as “we” or “us”.

This policy explains how we handle personal information. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

  • Your name, email, phone number and your connection to the property
  • Property details, the purpose of the valuation and the valuation date
  • Documents and photos you upload, such as contracts, rates notices, leases and plans
  • Details of advisers, owners, tenants or agents you give us so the valuer can gain access
  • Payment records (card details are handled by our payment provider and never stored by us)
  • How you found us, such as the referring website or advertising campaign

Why we collect it

To quote for, prepare and deliver your valuation, to arrange the inspection, to invoice and take payment, to answer your questions, to meet our legal and professional obligations and to improve our service. We do not sell personal information.

Who we share it with

  • The valuer engaged on your matter
  • People you ask us to involve, such as your accountant, lawyer or adviser
  • Service providers who host our website and client platform, send email and process payments, some of whom store data outside Australia
  • Other Valuation Group businesses where you ask for a related service
  • Courts, regulators or others where the law requires it

Security and retention

We store information on secure systems with access limited to people who need it. Valuation files are kept for as long as professional and legal record-keeping requirements need, then securely destroyed.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you. Email hello@propertyvaluationsaustralia.com.au. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy concern, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
